Artist’s Statement

“The sculptures are made from found objects, many having springs incorporated, with the anticipation of the season of spring. Some sculptures are interactive – a touch with your finger activates the piece, producing a wiggle or some other motion.

Springs can store and release energy in their own rhythmic way, just as springtime lets loose with the blooming of plants and trees. As always the sculptures have traces of whimsy and humor included in the often unusual found objects.”
