Artist’s Statement :
Ecologies, my true Colors is a collection of paintings inspired by my strong connection to nature and my work as an ecologist. Images reflect on the beauty of life forms I know from my experience as human and scientist. These are visions that exist in a place in my heart.
In my world, art and science belong together. Both inform my work influencing my approach. Observation, experimentation, improvisation all come together within the creative process. As such, I have developed my own mixed media techniques and my research influences the subject of my paintings in a process that I find magical, nurturing and informative.
My paintings are often environmentally based and I use them to communicate concerns, dreams, and emotions, all of which emerge from my deep and relentless love for life.
