Opening Reception:

Artist’s Statement :
Hopefully you have seen on a clear night, far away from our illuminated cities, the wondrous view of millions of stars overhead. Stargazing on the shores of Lake Superior, on a vessel in the Atlantic Ocean, or on the edge of the Grand Canyon….
The development of modern telescopes, radio observatories, and the Hubble telescope has allowed the enhanced observation of stars, galaxies, nebulae, and even exoplanets. One can now see a mind boggling array of objects in space. Trying to understand the
cosmos requires diving into the concepts of time, distance, light, physics, mathematics, chemistry and surely, the unknown.
This show is a simple attempt to examine some of the types of stars and their compositions in three dimensional forms.
