16 + 16, a January Tradition at WSG

Last year our 16 + 16 show was such a breath of fresh air at the beginning of the year, that we decided to have another one.  What ’16 +16′ signifies is that each one of us who is a part-owner of the gallery invites another artist who makes work roughly in our area (i.e., I’m a sculptor/mixed media artist, so I invited a clay sculptor http://mo-wilson.com/) and our guest exhibits their work at WSG.

One of our guests is Marcia Polenberg – a clay sculptor and guest of Ted Ramsay.

‘Basquiat’ and ‘Mona’ are bust sculptures with thick, delicious glazes.  They have quite a presence in our front window!  Read more about her work here: http://www.annarbor.com/entertainment/artist-marcia-polenberg-throws-a-birthday-party-with-her-solo-show-at-clay-gallery/

Another of our guests is photographer and Washtenaw Community College professor and head of photography Terry Abrams.  He has a couple of close-up photographs of wall-surfaces in Morocco.  They’re abstract masterpieces!
